HAVE YOU LEARNED ANYTHING LATELY ?

"LESSONs OF LIFE"
Have you learned anything today??

I've learned that you cannot MAKE someone love you.
All you can do is be SOMEONE who can be loved.
Do your part, the rest is up to them.
And you must put into it what you must..
You must be willing to work at it..

I've learned that no matter how much I care,
some people just don't care back.
Live and learn, and try to understand..

I've learned that it takes years to build up trust,
and only seconds to destroy it.
Maybe we should pay attention along the way..
Sometimes we know better..

I've learned that it's not what you have in your life
but who you have in your life that counts.
That makes WHAT you have in your life worthwhile..

I've learned that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes.
After that, you'd better know something.
If it's games you seek, then visit the arcade,
and get your quarters worth..

I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself
to the best others can do, but to the best you can do.
Be all that you can be.

I've learned that it's not what happens to people
that''s important.
It's what they do about it,
or what they don't do about it..

I've learned that you can do something in an instant
that will give you heartache
for life.
And aspirin won't help you..

I've learned that no matter how thin you slice it,
there are always two sides.
What you put in between
is another issue.

I've learned that it's taking me a long time
to become the person I want to be.
But,
I can see the progress..
What I have learned are the tools
to take me where I need to go.

I've learned that it's a lot easier
to react than it is to think.
It's alot simpler and requires much less energy.
And, that's what it seems
like allmost everybody does, especially in
"New Bedford, Mass."

I've learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving words.
It may be the last time you see them.
I've seen that happen plenty..

I've learned that you can keep going long after you think you can't.
There is allways alittle more,
when you give it your all.
You just seem to find the resources.

I've learned that we are responsible for what we do,
no matter how we feel.
And Yeah-buts, and excusatory rhetoric
only confuse matters more..

I've learned that either you control your attitude
or it controls you.
Then YOU are out of control..

I've learned that regardless of how hot and steamy
a relationship is at first,
the passion fades and there had better be
something else to take its place.
Variety is the spice of life..

I've learned that heroes are the people
who do what has to be done
when it needs to be done,
regardless of the consequences.

I've learned that learning to forgive
takes practice,
and plenty of it..

I've learned that there are people
who love you dearly,
but just don't know how to show it
and we just don't know how to see it..

I've learned that money
is a lousy way of keeping score.
But,
it is a game that many play..
Money is supposed to be secondary in nature..
But money sure helps,
it may not be in first place, but it is far ahead of
whatever is in second place.

I've learned that my best friend and I
can do anything or nothing and have the best time.
That is the difference.

I've learned that sometimes the people
you expect to kick you when you're down
will be the ones to help you get back up.
It is not only "I" that possesses that quality
and recognizes it.

I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry
I have the right to be angry,
but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
Understanding is the underlying cure-all..
Consider the real reasoning, the intent..

I've learned that true friendship
continues to grow,
even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.
The KeyWord is "TRUE".

I've learned that just because someone
doesn't love you the way you want them to
doesn't mean they don't love you
with all they have.
People are just not the same.
It's all relative to the beholder, it seems,
on either side.

I've learned that MATURITY has more to do with
what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned
from them and less to do with
how many birthdays you've celebrated.
There are many immature oldies on this here planet..

I've learned that you should never tell a child
their dreams are unlikely or outlandish.
Few things are more humiliating,
and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.
After all"The dreams of today
are the realities of tomorrows".
"Dreams are the tools
with which tomorrow will be molded".

I've learned that your family won't always
be there for you.
It may seem funny,
but people you aren't related to
can take care of you and
love you and teach you to trust people again.
Families aren't neccessarily biological.

I've learned that no matter how good a friend is,
they're going to hurt you every once in a while
and you must forgive them for that.
Again understanding must prevail..

I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
That's where it all starts,
only then,
can you see the picture in totality.

I've learned that no matter how bad
your heart is broken
the world doesn't stop for your grief.
And the beat goes on..
You just have to learn
and make the proper adjustments
or alignments.

I've learned that our background and circumstances
may have influenced who we are,
but we are responsible for who we become.
When a six year old is ugly,
it is the fault of the Parents,
when a sixteen year old is ugly,
it is their own fault.
Responsibity and blame are not related.

I've learned that sometimes when my friends fight,
I'm forced to choose sides
even when I don't want to.
How unfair that they expect that of me..
Both sides expect it, too. Darn !

I've learned that just because two people argue,
it doesn't mean they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue,
it doesn't mean they do
.. You can never go by that.
People get along in different ways.
Sad to say.

I've learned that sometimes
you have to put the individual
ahead of their actions. Forgive them for
they know not what they do..

I've learned that we don't have to change friends
if we understand that friends
can and often do change..
People change all the time,
or we could call it
"Adjusting".

I've learned that you shouldn't be so eager
to find out a secret.
It could change your life forever.
Secrets are for reasons..

I've learned that two people can look
at the exact same thing
and see something
totally different.
Perception is a gift..

I've learned that no matter how you try
to protect your children,
they will eventually get hurt
and YOU
will hurt in the process.
Breaking their heart breaks your heart too.
Nothing worse
than seeing a loved one hurt.

I've learned that there are many ways
of falling and staying in love.
Good recipes
make for good eating.

I've learned that no matter the consequences,
those who are honest with themselves
get farther in life. And,
that is obvious to us.

I've learned that no matter how many friends you have,
if you are their pillar you will feel lonely and lost
at the times when you need them most.
Like walking on another planet..
Anyway, would we listen ??
I most certainly would, but,

I've learned that your life can be changed in a matter of hours
by people who don't even know you.
Like being in another place
and taking a good look,
and giving a good listen,
and using your imagination,
foresight and perception..
Put Life in fast forward
and watch the story.

I've learned that even when you think you
have no more to give,
when a friend cries out to you,
you will find the strength to help.
It's called "Second-Wind",
athletes know about that..

I've learned that writing, as well as talking,
can ease emotional pains.
Sometimes we say more in writing
than we do in talking,
depending on the party,
the issues and the situation..

I've learned that the paradigm we live in
is not all that is offered to us.
There is SOoooo much more to life
than meets the naked eye..
There are other ways of seeing things..

I've learned that credentials on the wall
do not make you a decent human being.
It only means you excell in one or two areas of life,
but may fall way short in other more important areas
in the spectrum of life.

I've learned that the people you care most about in life
are taken from you too soon.
In some way or another,
but the spirit remains almost
hauntingly..

I've learned that although the word "LOVE"
can have many different meanings,
and it loses value when overly used.
It kinda becomes signatory in over use..
It can depreciate itself..

I've learned that it's hard to determine
where to draw the line
between being nice and not hurting people's feelings
and standing up for what you believe.
But, I think I've finally
mastered that thru trial and error and hindsight,
and a wide open mind..

One thing I haven't learned yet,
and that is to learn
how to help People in pain or
with problems and not absorb
in the process
most of that pain. that doesn't
go away with the person.
Almost like, putting your lawn-mower
in somebody else's
garage.
That is to say, everytime I leave my door I see my lawn and that reminds me where my lawn mower is, {;o( ...

The Hunger map.

Click on the "Food For The Soul" loaf of bread
at the end of this article to get to the "HUNGER MAP" and make your free donation,
help feed the world's hungry.
Only one donation per day (EveryDay), start your day off with a donation, that won't cost you a penny.

How does the World Hunger Map at the Hunger Site work?

This map was developed by the Hunger Site to show the approximate frequency and location of hunger-related deaths in the world. Whenever a country on the map goes dim, it signifies that a person has died from hunger in that country. The map is based on the statistic that 24,000 people die of hunger each day (see Hunger Facts), which is equivalent to one death every 3.6 seconds. Statistical data from the United Nations is then used to determine the relative frequency of hunger deaths in each of the 32 countries with the highest hunger mortality totals.

What happens when I click on the “Donate Free Food” button? Does the donation cost me anything?

When you click on the “Donate Free Food” button, this registers with our computer server. The computer adds your food donation to the day’s totals and sends you the “Thank You For Your Donation” page. This page shows you the name of the sponsor or sponsors who pay for your donation. There is absolutely no charge to you for the donation; it is fully paid for by the sponsors and is completely free for you.

How is the donated food distributed?

Food Distributors.

The donated food is distributed through the United Nations World Food Program, the world’s largest food aid organization, with projects in 80 countries. They also work in conjunction with a number of other relief organizations. A list of many excellent relief organizations can be found on our Resources page.

Why are the sponsors willing to pay for the donations?

Our sponsors pay for the donations as a form of advertising and public relations. For some, it is simply good advertising. For others, it is analogous to funding shows on public television or making corporate donations to other worthy causes. It allows them to get their name in front of people, to be associated with a good cause, and to generate good will towards their company. Sponsors write a check directly to the relief organization for 100% of the amount due for the donations. They do not pay anything to the Hunger Site. A list of our current sponsors can be found on the Sponsors page.
